Most Dangerous Animals to Humans

Danger scores weigh two variables: how often encounters escalate to attack, and how lethal those attacks tend to be. A species can score highly through frequent minor encounters or through rare but near-certain fatalities; both paths reach the top of the table.

Scores reflect conditions within each species' native range. Animals that rarely share space with humans are not penalised for low exposure. Fatality records, attack frequency, and encounter context all inform the 1 to 10 rating. All 48 species are assigned a value.
